The reviews are overwhelmingly positive for a reason; it's a great marina, in a great location, with a fantastic staff.
Uriah and his crew go out of their way to make sure your stay is as perfect as possible.
Without exception every time we've had reservations we were contracted prior to our arrival and provided dock info. During our stay we were repeatedly asked if we needed anything and if we were enjoying our stay.
The facilities are not new, so if a shiny clubhouse or new dock is your hot button, there might be a better choice, but what the marina lacks in "newness", it more than compensates with it's location, solid docks, knowledgeable and attentive staff, and the fact that the facilities are in good shape and absolutely spotless.
We've never had any issue there, and based on our experiences so far, I'm confident if we ever do, it would likely be caused by something out of their control and that they'll go out of their way to make it right. You really can't ask or expect more than that.
Our single complaint is our summers are too short and we don't get to visit often enough. Thanks for the great hospitality and we're looking forward to our next visit.

Confirmed a stern-in port-side tie up so could have power… arrived to a bow in port side tie so no power (cords not enough if bow in) … not a crisis but annoying given the expense of the slip. Never used any facilities and left early next AM (so could run generator to recharge). Docks are tired. This place ok in a pinch but not worth it unless no other options

Great marina! The dockmaster and his crew are outstanding; polite, professional, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The marina is clean and conveniently located for "everything". We always look forward to our trips to Singapore. Thanks for the great hospitality.

Facilities were clean. Dockmaster very helpful and answered all of our questions. Area was quiet but easy access to all of the downtown area. Highly recommend!

can't beat the convenient access to all Saugatuck has to offer. Step off the boat and you're right in town. Clean, well maintained, nice clean restrooms. And the dock staff was excellent, led by dockmaster Uriah. We had some challenging scheduling to arrange, and he bent over backwards to make things work for us. Dockhands pretty knowledgeable and helpful with lines and everything. Service with a capital S! Much appreciated when the lake is not being as helpful. Only negative for sailboats: depth at the docks - ours anyway #22 - was pretty tight, with 0.3' under my 5' 6" keel. Never bumped bottom though.

Great Marina, Clean and quiet at night, dock mates were very friendly and Uriah is a gem! The slip was a little tight but being so close to town made up for that! Saugatuck is VERY quaint! Lots of shopping and good vibes! Don't pass this marina. Also, I left a bumper on the dock, John picked it up and is holding it for me. Thx John

We came in for a wedding and had never stayed here before and found the dockmaster Uriah and his staff to be 1st class all the way. Extremely accommodating and very pleasant. Weather moved in and they worked it out for us to stay safe while the wind blew through. You won’t be disappointed!

Great town, superb facility in ideal location. The staff, including Dockmaster Urijah as well as dockhand Elyse were outstanding, from beginning to end of our stay. They are friendly, knowledgable, hard-working, always with a smile. Urijah is one of the best marina/yacht club managers I have encountered on Lake Michigan. We look forward to returning and will cetainly recommend SYC as the destination for those who want to experience Saugatuck by boat.

The service was as great as the location! As we approached our assigned slip with a nasty crosswind, we were met by two dockhands (John and John) that helped us into a rather snug spot with ease. After helping make us secure, one of the staff members brought us our welcome packet (bathroom codes, wifi PW, etc.) rather than making us trek to the office to check in. The next day, we were allowed to stay after the 11:00 AM checkout time since they had no one booked for the same slip later that day. Then when we departed in another nasty crosswind, we were again aided by one of the same staff members who helped us at arrival. We highly recommend SYC if they have availability.

Terrific place. Dock hand, John, was very helpful upon arrival. Got us to a slip with the correct electric and help us secure the boat. The Butler Patio was a little close and noisy.
About Singapore Yacht Club
Singapore Yacht Club rents transient slips when member slips are vacant/out traveling.
The name “Singapore” was selected for the club because there used to be a town by that name near Saugatuck. . . “ Beneath the sands near the mouth of the Kalamazoo River lies the site of Singapore, one of Michigan’s most famous ghost towns. Formed in the 1830’s by New York land speculators, who hoped it would rival Chicago or Milwaukee as a port, Singapore was, in fact, until the 1870’s, a busy lumbering town with three mills, two hotels, several general stores, and a renowned “wildcat” bank. It outshone its neighbor to the South, “The Flats,” as Saugatuck was then called. When the supply of timber was exhausted, the mills closed, the once bustling waterfront grew quiet. The people left, with most of them settling in Saugatuck. Gradually, Lake Michigan’s shifting sands buried Singapore.”
