Donovan's Shady Harbor Marina

Must stop on the Hudson. Steve was the best at helping us.

Nice marina and great people. Extremely helpful. There’s a harbor host as well with lots of knowledge for loopers and boaters getting ready for all the locks. Definitely would stay there again.

The entire staff is great. Thank you Mike for all your help. We had a pet emergency and Mike drove us to the other side of Albany to the vet hospital. Piper is going to be fine. Be sure and enjoy the wonderful restaurant and bar.

Shady Harbor is more than a Marina. It is a community of residential boaters and staff who readily welcome transient boaters. We look forward to staying here again next summer.

Shady Harbor is a top-notch marina. As a first time boater We have kept our boat at Shady Harbor for the last two years and the staff is nothing but extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. All of the other boaters that dock at the marina are as friendly as you can get. Great place to be at in the summer.

Outstanding, what else need be said, plenty of water when docked at 80' finger, good shore power, good fresh water, great staff, good restaurant, Brian and Kathy are terrific hosts. Stay there every trip north and south, twice a year.

Can't say enough great things about this place. Brian & Kathy along with the staff run a first class "resort". Being boaters themselves they know what the traveling cruisers are looking for in a marina. A great restaurant and a friendly seasonal boating community make this a great place to spend a few nights.

We go there at least once a summer and always have a good time.

Great service, very nice facility

We had a mechanical problem that caused us to lose all power (including engines) about 5 miles south of Donovan’s. We were able to anchor overnight safely (though that’s another story). Despite memberships, BoatUS and SeaTow both refused assistance (too far!!!). Only Donovan’s cared and helped. They contacted us several times to ensure we were safe, then the following morning they found a mechanic to come down to us and get us moving. Then that mechanic (with nice assist by his very young son) was able to locate and install new batteries and a new battery charger all in the same day. Superb and pleasant experience. The marina itself is solid and has a great parts store. We were sorry that the restaurant was closed the night we stayed, but we’ll definitely be back if our wake passes anywhere near.

Had a great weekend at Shady Harbor. Celebrated my birthday at the restaurant with friends. Spent evenings at the bonfire and the day at the pool. Also, they have the best ship store.

We made a last minute reservation limping down an engine. They arranged for us to have a T dock so we could dock more easily. Although they were closed, we arrived to a crew of fellow boaters who knew we were arriving to help us dock. One of their mechanics helped me asses an electrical issue as well. Top notch marina and staff. The store is excellent as well.

The dock hand in a customer we're there to catch our lines and give us expert local knowledge. I highly recommend this Marina. They seem very friendly. They have a pool, a container bar. First one I've ever seen restaurant was closed Monday Tuesday, but we had a good time and a good night's sleep. On the Hudson.

Fun weekend hanging out at the pool, and fire pit. The Boat House restaurant/bar was excellent. Service was exceptional!
