People were fantastic - to me the most crucial part of any stay. Can’t say enough good things about Jerrett, Kate and the whole team. Very secure and private (small) marina only one transient slip. Good popular restaurant on site. Also marine max onsite we had work done on outboards during our stay. No bathrooms on site but can use the safe harbor next door which as great clean bathrooms and pool. Loved it!

Stayed 3/1-6, 37' boat with 3.3' draft and 11.5' beam. Access in and out were no problem. Jerrett and dock crew were absolutely fantastic, and business manager Kate was also awesome. First rate people always make giving a 5-star review easy. Very safe, protected marina. There is a separate Safe Harbor next door where you can use their pool, bathrooms/showers, etc. Marine Max on-site, great work servicing our Mercury outboards while we stayed. On-site restaurant (independent of marina) is highly rated, I thought a little pricey but good. We rented bikes for the week and rode up/down route 1, lots of restaurants, stores, sites, etc. Couple things they are working to improve - no on-site bathrooms (good ones at Safe Harbor next door). Also some issues with new power pedestals' circuits tripped once a day. Fantastic place and experience!

This marina is usually for smaller boats, and our approach was tight due to our size (14 ft wide, 15 ft high, 3.5 ft draft). The team was surprised when we arrived, but they were incredibly accommodating and helpful. Since our boat couldn’t fit in a standard slip, they found us a safe alternative along the concrete blocks near the lifts. Everyone was extremely kind, we even received two Safe Harbor bottles of wine! Diesel is available on site, and there’s a great restaurant at the marina. Highly recommended — 5 out of 5.

Excellent marina while passing through on The Loop! The Dockmaster, Jarrett, provided perfect instructions for navigating the narrow approach channel. Clean and modern facility, outstanding onsite restaurant and bar. Their sister marina next door has an inviting pool area, a second restaurant/bar, and showers. Getting to see manatees swim around our boat was a huge bonus! Stayed for 2 nights and booked a full week for when we return in several weeks. Another great Safe Harbor experience!

Jerrett and crew were excellent. Greeted us at the fuel dock and helped us get our slip. Recommended the Square Grouper restaurant and it was excellent. Will definitely be back.

We had a great visit to SH Islamorda. Last minute booking came through on our way from Marathon. Jarret and Ben where fantastic getting us settled and providing advice and information about the area. The Square Grouper restaurant in the marina is a must, We will return very soon from Bonita Springs. Dave & Pam.

They said treat this place like it was your own - and it was awesome. Chill; helpful; clean; convenient. The staff was great. (The dive shop could follow their operating hours better, but your staff even helped out getting us tanks etc). This will be our go to place in the middle Keys.

We were welcomed by Jarrett and his guys as soon as we pulled into the parking lot Tuesday morning. Although we were transient guests there for the week we felt like lifelong members as soon as we were launched and tied up to the dock. Super casual environment with friendly faces. We were acknowledged every time we pulled in or out of the marina by the team and really made us feel welcomed. Would recommend to anyone looking to bring their boat to Islamorada. Above and beyond service from start to finish

Awesome little marina tucked away in Islamorada. Super chill vibe, great staff, and an amazing restaurant(Square Grouper) The marina is clean and easy to get around. They’ve got fuel, Wi-Fi, a nice fish cleaning station, and the docks are in great shape. Moving my boat to Safe Harbor Marina/Square Grouper has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the moment I arrived, I felt an overwhelming sense of welcome and community. The team here is exceptional. The crew treats me like family. It’s not just customer service—it’s genuine care. They’re always there when I need help, and it truly feels like having a group of big brothers watching out for me. Whether it’s assistance with docking, maintenance tips, or just friendly conversation, they always go above and beyond. The vibe at the marina is unmatched. It’s well-run, clean, super convenient, and having Square Grouper right there doesn’t hurt either—dock your boat and grab a drink? Yes, please.

My stay at Safe Harbor Islamorada has been FANTASTIC ! SH Islamorada has a culture of helpfulness and support. Persons I would particularly give a shout of include; Carlos who helped me enter and dock upon arrival, Nick who shared some great information to me, Shane (located in (Angler House) for helping me out with some house keeping issues and more great information. Especially Jerrett who is awesome and runs a great crew with passion. Restaurants and bars are great at both Islamorada and Angler House. Food and service were superb. Marina facilities are clean and well maintained with a super high commitment to customer service.

Best personal service you could ask for. We were new to the island and Jarrett got on a boat and came and met us north of the Indian Key Channel. We followed him in so we would stay clear of moving shoals in the area. Once we got there we were accomodated in everyway that they had available, including a drop off at the best Pizza, Burger, Fish place, Bayside Gourmet. For the next 3 days they were available for all our needs. Would love to go back someday and take bikes for sightseeing and stay longer. They could use a shower and more available bathrooms. Laundry and a pump out would be a plus. But we had a great peaceful stay with the surrounding nature and great service. Also, there was a breakfast place that was awesome within walking distance, Midway Cafe, not to mention the on sight 5 star restaurant Square Grouper where members can hang in a really nice 3rd story lounge/bar. Showers would have gotten them a 5 star rating.

Nice restaurant, good food. That’s all, not nice clean marina. Dirt parking lot, forklift running all the time. Lots of rack storage.

The team at Safe Harbor Islamorada is the best! We called to see if they could fit us in on short notice and they quickly made it happen. They went out of their way to help us get in safely and securely (we were having an engine issue), and did it all with a friendly and professional attitude. They even helped us find the best local help to deal with our issues. Welcoming as they can possibly be, and the marina has great protection from any wind. The restaurant on site is also excellent.

We stayed at Safe Harbor Islamorada for 3 weeks in Jan 2025 waiting for our slip to open up in Stock Island. 54 ft Ocean Alexander trawler. We were probably a little too large but Nick and his crew made it work and welcomed us w open arms. They really treated us like family and made sure we received anything we needed. The Square Grouper restaurant is on property. Best restaurant in Islamorada. Another great perk is the Safe Harbor Angler House next door where transients have use of the pool and a great Tiki Bar plus free kayaks,paddleboards etc. We highly recommend Safe Harbor for a very comfortable stay. Really great staff! Also mechanic on site if needed.

Small marina nestled in the mangroves on the bay side of Islamorada. Service is superb and the staff extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. They even offered to come look for us given the low tide on arrival. Highly recommanded!
