Love this place, but too pricey for the value - $238 one night on dock and the showers and restrooms were closed. Disappointed with that.
On the positive side, the dock crew and the bartender at Shoals were friendly and welcoming.

We have always had a soft spot for Payne's and have been taking a slip for over 25 years. We stopped when there became a heavy political aspect which we felt was not in keeping with the low key, family business that we had enjoyed.
We came back in October and enjoyed the Payne's we knew.

It's a unique experience. Free shuttle to Beach and town. Mahogany Shoals is great, except when there are drunks screaming at 2am. The dockhands are experienced and professional. Sands and Amy are a great help.

After a mechanical issue that made continuing to stay on anchor less doable, Payne's was able to get us in... allowing us to continue our family's summer vacation. So thankful! We had a great time multiple nights enjoying music at Mahogany Shoals. Our grand niece who visited was thrilled with local ice cream access and we were happy to have access to the courtesy van services. All much appreciated!

Great stay at Paynes. The dock hands are just fantastic. They are absolutely pro's at getting you in. The bathroom and shower facilities are very clean. Breakfast at the cracked mug is a must which is right on the dock. Entertainment every night at Mohagany Shoals. Definitely going back to Paynes!!!

Paynes has a great location and is closest to town of the three marinas. Docking is tight but the staff is helpful. I have never been to a dock where the staff does not communicate by VHF. You pull close and shout over what your need. There is a reason others use VHF , it just makes communication easier.

We just completed another great stay at Payne's. They do things a little differently here and that's one of the things that we like so much. Down to earth, friendly and accommodating. They want you to have a good time and are very responsive to any and all requests. The facilities are great. Everything you need is right there including an awesome shuttle service to get you into town. We are not "30+ year customers" like many of the folks we met but we will continue to stay at Payne's whenever we are in the area and highly recommend them to all of our friends.

Paynes has and continues to be our favorite marina. A great old school marina where Sands and his team know how to service their customers in a no bullshit environment. In a world where many marinas are being bought out by the “big guys” I hope the family continues to run this facility for years to come.

About Payne's Dock and Mahogany Shoals
Welcome to Payne's Dock in New Harbor. It is a friendly place with lots of families. Friends are easily made and good times are the rule. World famous Mahogany Shoals provides great drinks and live entertainment every day and night in a fun relaxed atmosphere. Rebecca's Dockside Restaurant will satisfy every craving from clam cakes to BBQ ribs to fresh seafood. You can get your t-shirts, sweatshirts, beach supplies at The Shop @ Payne's.
Restaurants, shops, beaches and services are just a short walk away.
PLEASE NOTE: We have fixed finger piers, and most all boats will be tied up stern-to. We have some floating docks but space is limited. THERE IS A HIGH LIKELIHOOD YOU WILL BE RAFTED.
Approach Instructions: We are located at the southern end of the harbor. Please follow the marked navigational channel until you come to the end of our Marina. Please head for the large American Flag on the East side of the dock. Once you get to the flag by the fuel dock one of our employees will signal you and direct you to your dock space. You do not need to call us unless you have a problem finding us or have a specific question.
