What a beautiful cove! The wildlife was abundant, we took a lovely walk around the island, and had a delicious meal at the restaurant. Really nice folks and we will look forward to the next visit.

Mooring was fine …. Disappointed to find bathroom, showers, and restaurant closed

Thank you for your review. Our fall hours are clearly posted on the Dockwa site, Sunday through Tuesday closed. The Dockwa Message issuing the mooring assignment offers the manager’s mobile phone should there be any questions when closed. We allow boaters into the building upon request by just sending us a quick message or phone call. We want our boaters to have a good experience, even when the restaurant is closed.

Had a fabulous dinner in the bar area. Our dog also enjoyed his “kid” dinner. Great mooring and love to walk around the area. One of our favorite places!

Same as my last review...Another great stop at Coveside! Cavemen fantastic as usual. Food was delicious. Bartender is the best!! Lynette is a wonderful host and Jon does a fantastic job getting everyone on the dock.

Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Mondays when we were there, but the mooring was great, and a beautiful spot to spend some time!

Our visits to Coveside are always a treat. Moorings are in a well protected harbor (especially this trip as a cold front with rain and wind passed by), plus great food and a bonus, weekend music at the restaurant. Thank you Lynette for all you do to make our visits memorable.

Picked up vacant Coveside mooring on a Monday afternoon. Submitted mooring request. Got a reply and confirmation soon after. Had a very quiet and pleasant night with perfect weather. Very easy.

We made a last minute change in our plans and decided to see if we could get a mooring in Christmas Cove. We submitted our request for a mooring on Dockwa and received confirmation and mooring assignment almost immediately. We arrived in the harbor around 6:30 pm and discovered a boat on our assigned mooring. The staff at Coveside was responsive and directed the other boat to the correct mooring. We were happy with how they handled the issue. The hot showers were much appreciated after a few days of remote anchorages. And the harbor is both quiet and beautiful. Thanks!

Great communication and a beautiful well protected harbor. They messaged the day we were arriving with instructions about exactly where we’d tie up and left cones marking the spot. Had a great meal at the restaurant and live music to boot. Couldn’t ask for much more.

About Coveside Restaurant & Marina

Coveside Restaurant Fall hours are: CLOSED SUNDAY-TUESDAY , open Wednesday/Thursday 4:00 pm-8:30 pm, Friday/Saturday 11:30 am-9:00 pm. Music in the Burgee Bar Saturday nights 8:00 pm-11:00 pm. Closing for the season on Saturday, September 27

Christmas Cove, located between Boothbay and Pemaquid Point in the picturesque village of South Bristol, was named for Captain John Smith when he anchored here, December, 1614. Coveside Restaurant & Marina offers a gorgeous setting, along with dock and mooring space in the safety of Christmas Cove. Enjoy a delicious meal on the deck overlooking the sailboats, or in our spacious dining room offering a spectacular view from every seat in the house. The Burgee Bar is a sailor's delight with ragged colorful burgees brought in from all over the world, hanging from the rafters.

If you have the opportunity, the Sunday Dockside Parties from 2-5 pm are a favorite event for locals and travelers alike! Dockside parties are known for their fantastic live music and atmosphere. SEE NOTE ABOVE REGARDING OVERNIGHT DOCK SPACE ON SUNDAYS
