This is a great spot and BPYC has always been very helpful. As a others have mentioned, the weather can negatively impact the mooring field if winds are NE. We experienced exactly that during the 4th of July weekend of 2021 when winds from the NE started increasing at around 0200 with eventual gusts to 30-which was higher than forecast. Conditions in the mooring field were very bad. Not respecting the forecast was our error, but if you avoid a NE wind pattern, we can highly recommend a stop.

Clean, friendly, convenient, a bit pricey. Great launch staff. Pretty well protected. Nice area for walking. Market nearby has good food, but expensive.

Lovely cove just off the ocean with fairly easy inlet and plenty of depth. We were told the fairway and mooring area up to the BPYC was dredged in 2020 and saw no less than 13.5 ft at mid tide. Staff was very responsive, friendly, and always available. We will return!

Nice sleepy town. Beautiful cove Was a little surfy but good spot for a stop. Decent provision store in town as well. Had an issue with my dinghy and the nice HarborMaster took me out and told me back to my boat. Very friendly definitely a nice stop over SPOT for a relaxing evening.

We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our two stays here with BPYC. The whole BPYC team was friendly and professsional, and made transient boaters feel very welcome. Goldthwaite’s store/restaurant was also super convenient for reprovisioning and having a quick meal.

Perfect stop on a mooring after we left Glouster heading north. Launch service, provision store next door with a great seafood cafe. We will be back.

Small club and very accommodating people. Perfect place for a walk around town and to the beach.

Nice spot to relax and wait out a T-storm. The facilities are basic but clean. Staff are very professional. It’s fun to watch the kids in sail school. The local mart is well stocked but pricey! Definitely worth the stop.

Peaceful harbor and cute little village with public beach and interesting park under construction.

We found BPYC to be very friendly and welcoming. The general store/restaurant that is almost next door has everything you need to reprovision. Wood Island Harbor, where the guest moorings are, is a picturesque - almost magical - place to spend time on a boat. I hope to return someday. I told my crew that Biddeford Pool looks like a great place for me to retire.

Protected little pond as long as winds aren’t north and/or east. Cute yacht club with friendly staff and nice, simple, clean bathroom + shower. Area is a bit remote from any stores or restaurants once tourist season is over but a 15 to 20 min cab ride away from Kennebunkport- lots of great dining and provisioning options there.
Great little stop over that is not out of the way or much of a detour if heading south/west.
Also nice dinghy adventure possibilities up the Saco river if feeling adventurous.

Was able to call in on my cell phone and reserve a mooring at 9:30 am. Completed transaction when I had cellular service in the harbor. Great service from the staff.
