A lovely spot on Casco Bay. Very prompt launch service to get you to and from your mooring. Great and convenient stop-over location. Also, a very nice restaurant right at the marina. Great food and excellent service.

Could not have been a better experience. The dock staff was always available and helpful. Electric, water and fuel available on the dock. The dock store had drinks and goodies. Good restaurant, right there. Thank you for your hospitality.

Beautiful and clean facilities. Easy to approach. The boat launch pickup service was very nice. Our only complaint was that it was difficult to find our transient mooring in such a huge field. The staff also seemed to have difficulty remembering where our mooring was located. A map would be very helpful in the future.

Another great stay at HB. Dock staff are friendly and eager to help guests. Launch drivers are amazing, i don’t know how they keep up with a big a mooring field as they have but they seem to always be right there when you need them. Thank you.

The mooring field is completely open to the elements and proved to be very uncomfortable. I am thinking they don’t have any protection from wind and wave with winds coming from any direction. Very nice staff and their cafe food is out of this world.

The place and people were great. The fuel/main dock is big, clean and they are very helpful. They respond really fast to pickup requests. They man VHF channel 9 and the phone with equal alacrity. The ratio of helpfulness to attitude is very high here for New England. Showers and bathrooms are open all night. It was VERY quiet (June 14th) and clean everywhere. The food was good as well. A++

I had a mooring reservation but needed to charge batteries as we had a voltage regulator issue. Handy Boat had us on the dock and helping to charge up and diagnose issue. Fantastic.

Welcome to Falmouth, Maine’s largest anchorage and home to Handy Boat Service since 1934. Our members enjoy season after season of sailing and boating on beautiful Casco Bay. With the convenience of being less than 15 minutes from Maine’s largest city Portland, Maine, and a full service boat yard and marina without the commercial traffic and bustle of the city. For our cruisers stopping in for a shorter stay Handy Boat has over 50 transient mooring rentals for boats up to 80’ and dock space available, our launch service, full service boatyard, Dockside Provisions convenience store, fuel, ice and of course The Dockside Grill restaurant. All of our amenities are available to our seasonal and short term customers to make Handy Boat a can’t miss for boating in southern Maine.
