The re-permitting process remains confusing and not user friendly. Pateince and attention to details gets one through it, but still a lot of work for the 21st century.

Charging $52 for a mooring that you have to share with two other boats is a joke. It’s wrong not to have it in bold that you will share your day with strangers. Especially when they run a crappy old generator pumping out black smoke all day. I will never do this again.

Paid the $50 days in advance, showed up on the scheduled day and the mooring was already full with 4 boats. So we had to anchor somewhere nearby instead. Harbormaster came by at one point and did nothing. Save your money.

Unfortunately moorings are rented to 3 boats. When we arrived at the mooring the boat owners tgat arrived 1at, turned us away. Thry also had friends tied up and said they turned away 3 other boats. In addition, their language was so foul. The gentleman on the boat was F-bombing so much that we could hear him from a distance. We had tweens aboard and didnt want to fight with the rude boat owners on the mooring. So basically we paid for nothing.

Wonderful location. Easy mooring. It did get crowded but everyone was friendly and respectful. No loud music or jet skis like I’ve experienced at Peddocks.

There was no response to email requesting a mooring for 48 hours. After 48 hours they did respond that a mooring was set for my arrival date. When I arrived the mooring ball was laid for a much smaller vessel, and it was already occupied. Another marina in the same area found a mooring for me that was appropriate.

Awesome day,beautiful place. Just wish we knew that the mooring was doubled up with another boat. It would have prevented a awkward moment with the other boat.

About Hingham Boating Permits
The Harbor Master assigns mooring spots and issues permits for all boats in Hingham waterways.
The Harbor Master reserves the right to raft up to 3 vessels together on World's End transient moorings
--You need a permit to park your boat in any of the marinas, designated mooring areas, and all resident locations. --No permit? That's a $50 daily fine. --Annual permits cost $9 per foot of boat length and World’s end is $650.00/season. --Transient permits are available for shorter stays: $35/boat at Inner Harbor and Langlee Island, and $50/boat at -World's End.World's End Reservations may only be made 30 days in advance. --Camping on Langlee Island is free with a reservation made in advance. -- World's End Reservations may only be made 30 days in advance.
Cancellation: Cancellations must be made through Dockwa, 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival to receive a full refund. One night rental fee will be forfeited for any reservations canceled after 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival.

New (Annual) Permit Requests: To request a new annual permit, please use the booking form under the "Seasonal/Annual" tab and specify the desired permit type:
Docking Permit: For boats at slips or docks. Please indicate the marina and slip/mooring number:

- The Marina at Hingham Harbor
- Bare Cove Marina
Mooring Permit:
- Inner Harbor (available to anyone – max boat length 30ft)
- Outer Harbor (Hingham Yacht Club members only)
- Hewitt's Cove (available to anyone – contracted through Hingham Shipyard Marina)
- Back River (South Shore Yacht Club members only)
- World's End (available to anyone – only accessible by boat)
- Residential (waterfront property owners and beach association members only)
Short Term (Transient Rental) Permit Requests:
To request a short-term permit, please use the booking form under the "Short Term" tab and specify the reservation type in the "special requests" section:
- World's End ($50/day/vessel – 3 vessel max.)
- Inner Harbor ($35/day – 1 vessel max.)
- Langlee Island Mooring ($35/day – 1 vessel max.)
- Langlee Island Camping – North Site (no cost)
- Langlee Island Camping – South Site (no cost)
