Mystic Shipyard West

Mystic Shipyard goes out of the way to make sure all your service and maintenance needs are met. While in the midst of a busy spring commissioning season, I was always ableto discuss my issues and needs with the yard manager, rigging shop and engine maintenance.

My first full year at MSY has been great, thanks to the whole crew and management. They keep putting money back into the place, which is really encouraging. Last February’s fire in the mast‑storage buildings was a huge hit, but they bounced back fast and kept improving the yard even while rebuilding. My biggest worry going in was the lack of floating docks, but Ken, the dock master, set my lines perfectly. It hasn’t been an issue at all—other than the occasional super‑low tide or windy day, and even then, I never had to touch a thing. This winter I had a dedicated bow thruster battery system installed and they also replace all my 8D sized batteries. They did this efficiently, carefully and professionally. I am happy to be here for another season.

Initially our slip assignment was a point of confusion however once that was cleared up ( not easy because we require a deep slip) our stay was perfect. The proximity to the town, nice pool, freshly renovated showers were positives. The staff dockmaster and assistant were absolutely over the top in terms of helpful with repositioning and orienting us to the local area. Just outstanding!

All staff was super friendly and helpful. Facilities are excellent. Short dinghy ride into town. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Excellent all around.

The marina was nice, bathrooms clean, services available. However, the five-star rating goes to one of your employees. Mary working in the office on a late Friday afternoon, we had both car services failed to respond and we were desperate as the wedding ceremony time approached one of our party went into the office described our situation. Mary offered to drive us to the Mystic Inn on a Friday @430. Long story, short, we arrived moments before the bride descended. Mary's generosity was remarkable. Bravo! The staff was wonderful and the location was the best for a stay in Mystic.

Excellent stay!! The dockmaster was excellent at communicating details to us and providing info about the services there. Great location, very friendly boaters on our dock. Will definitely be back!!

Wonderful marina, close to Mystic Downtown. The staff are extremely nice and are responsive to booking requests. Booked it again for next week. Would love to make it our home marina one day.
