This is a beautiful town with an excellent floating dock. Everybody was friendly and everything worked perfectly. It is a long face dock with without actual slips, so you’re just grab a place wherever you fit. We came early in the season, so we had the whole dock to ourselves. Walking distance to all sorts of great little restaurants and shops. Time your entrance carefully - the currents in this inlet are no joke! at one point our 8 kn boat was moving at 2.2 kn in the inlet on the way here. The strong current on our nose actually made docking very easy, but I wouldn’t want to do it on the incoming tide. Getting turned around would be an adventure.

The moorings at the Newburyport Municipal Docks are always amazing. Everyone there so helpful and accommodating whenever we stay there. And you can't beat the access it provides to the heart of the waterfront and all its has to offer - even off season!

Very pleasant stay in a great town! Docks are in great condition and couldn’t be in a better location. It does get busy on weekends so lots of people looking at you and asking questions so maybe not your scene if you don’t enjoy that type of interaction. We were cruising with our dog and had the harbor park and walk trail right at our doorstep to explore!

Safe, Clean and well managed facility - the boaters visitor center restroom facilities are great but are closed between 7pm and 0700am, this should be improved as the facilities are "code access only" for overnight boaters so having this time restriction is odd. Anyone considering a visit to downtown NBPT by boat will not be disappointed. Easy access to a beautifully historic downtown, great restaurants and shops. The City has one of the better public boating facilities in the Northeast.

We really enjoy staying at the moorings here on our sailboat with our dog. Easy to get into land on our dinghy and lots to do in the downtown Newburyport area including a beautiful riverside park and walkway, and lots of stores and dog-friendly restaurants. A bit loud at night for music across the river but otherwise a pleasant stay. River currents are strong and very busy boat traffic going up and down the river.

Marina was easy to get to and quite accommodating. We were able to change our dates when we learned that we were arriving a day early. Although we were on a mooring, we were able to fill our water tanks at the dock when space was available for us to pull in. Lots of current in the Merrimack River. Suggest arriving at slack tide if possible.

Beautiful spot, great dockhand who helped us on. Merrimack River current can be strong, so local knowledge from the dockmaster, the dockhand and a fellow sailboater were invaluable to getting us safely on and off the face dock. The docks are right near town with easy walking distance to many restaurants. A beautiful waterfront park is right there as well.

The folks in the Newburyport harbormaster’s office are always very nice and accommodating. The dock staff were very friendly and welcoming. Docks are perfect location and nice/new.

This was our first time in Newburyport. Cool town - very walkable. The Harbor Master Mary-Ann and dockhand Henry were extremely pleasant and helpful. We will definately plan to return on our way south!

The Harbormaster staff were outstanding! Our first time up the Merrimack, they met us at the entrance and shared outstanding local knowledge on the way in. Great town for shopping/dining, a very nice stop on our way north.
